About Project
Snapbox is an emerging social networking application similar to platforms such as Instagram and TikTok with some valuable differences. It aims to get the most out of people's precious time being spent on social media by providing up-to-date content and preventing time-wasting stuff.
Our Challenge
We were tasked with designing a logo and user interface for Snapbox. What we wanted to do was to make it feel similar to other social media since the users are accustomed to a standard environment, while allowing the design to stand out by incorporating some unique features.
We designed some icons in relation to the platform, making the process of selecting categories much easier for users. The lively and inviting nature of the content shared on the platform was further highlighted by the use of a vivid color palette.
Our Solution
We opted for a design that was already well-liked by potential users. There were two main additional options of sharing links and getting points per like, and we tried to lead the users through the process in the most proficient way.
In order to accommodate user preferences, we gave them the option of choosing between a dark and light mode based on their personal tastes.
